Manca poco più di una settimana a Natale, scommetto che alcuni di voi sono più indaffarati che mai nella ricerca dell’addobbo, del menù o del regalo last minute, vero?
Questo blog nasce proprio dall’idea di aiutarvi a fare della vostra casa il luogo ideale in cui vivere l’atmosfera da sogno del natale, in piccole e semplici mosse.

Si sa che, per immergersi in un perfetto modo natalizio, bisogna cominciare proprio dalla casa!
Per questo è importante dare agli addobbi domestici una grande attenzione, scegliendoli accuratamente e facendo sì che, come tutta la casa, essi rispecchino l’animo di chi la abita.
It is known that, to immerse yourself in a perfect Christmas way, you have to start right from the house! This is why it is important to pay close attention to home decorations, choosing them well and making sure that, like the whole house, they reflect the soul of those who live there.
Infatti, se è vero che i colori della tradizione natalizia sono classicamente rosso, oro, verde e bianco, è vero anche che le decorazioni devono risaltare l’aspetto generale della vostra casa, ma soprattutto devono saper parlare di voi.
Personalmente non credo ci sia miglior modo di mettere del proprio negli oggetti se non creandoli con le proprie mani, quindi ogni anno a Natale sprigiono la mia fantasia, tentando di ideare personalmente festoni, addobbi e decorazioni varie.
In fact, if it is true that the colors of the Christmas tradition are classically red, gold, green and white, it is also true that the decorations must highlight the general appearance of your home, but above all they must be able to talk about you.
Personally I don't think there is the best way to put your own in objects if not creating them with your own hands, so every year at Christmas I let my imagination run wild, trying to personally design festoons and various decorations.
Come prima cosa partirei dall’addobbo casalingo per eccellenza: l’albero.
Today I want to share these ideas with you, showing you step by step how to make three of my favorite Christmas creations.
First of all, I would start with the home decoration par excellence: the tree.
Nella mia famiglia abbiamo sempre amato la tradizione di decorare l’albero tutti insieme ascoltando delle canzoni natalizie e canticchiandole, ma abbiamo sempre amato anche tentare di far in modo che esso fosse diverso di anno in anno ed è da questa voglia di innovazione che nasce la mia idea di un “albero differente” perché chi l’ha detto che c’è bisogno di decorare con moltissimo sforzo per restituire la magia e l’eleganza del Natale?
In my family we have always loved the tradition of decorating the tree all together listening to Christmas songs and humming them, but we have also always loved trying to make it different from year to year and it is from this desire for innovation that comes my idea of a “different tree”, because who said that you need to decorate with a lot of effort to restore the magic and elegance of Christmas?
Per la realizzazione del mio albero vi serviranno due semplici materiali:
-varie scatole, che io ho trovato già in questa splendida fantasia dorata, ma volendo potreste utilizzare delle semplici scatole e decorarle come più vi piace;
- lucine natalizie.
Potete utilizzare il numero di scatole che volete o avete a disposizione, l’importante sarà impilarle dalla più grande alla più piccola.
For the realization of my tree you will need two simple materials:
- various boxes, which I have already found in this splendid golden pattern, but if you want you could use simple boxes and decorate them as you like;
- Christmas lights.
You can use the number of boxes you want or have available, the important thing will be to stack them from the largest to the smallest.
Come decorazione per il vostro albero fai da te sarà essenziale l’utilizzo di una serie di lucine, da posizionare a cascata o girandoci intorno.
Se volete dargli un tocco in più, come ho fatto io, potete posizionare delle decorazioni accanto alla scatola che fa da base: io ho utilizzato una casetta ed un alberello in ceramica, che riprendono i colori delle scatole, ma ho pensato per voi un’altra decorazione, da realizzare in casa con le vostre mani.
As a decoration for your DIY tree, it will be essential to use a series of lights, to be placed in cascade or by turning around it.
If you want to give it an extra touch, as I did, you can place decorations next to the box that acts as a base: I used a small house and a small ceramic tree, which reflect the colors of the boxes, but I thought of a other decoration, to be made at home with your own hands.
Di cosa sto parlando? Ma è ovvio, della tradizionale e deliziosa casetta di panpepato!
What am I talking about? But of course, the traditional and delicious gingerbread house!
Io adoro realizzare questo dolce, costa molta fatica e pazienza ma il profumo che lascia per casa ed il suo adorabile aspetto sono impagabili.
Per crearla, cuocerla e comporla avrete bisogno delle sagome per ritagliare l’impasto.
Potete realizzare le sagome stampando il pdf che vi allego in formato A4 e ritagliando le figure lungo i margini.
I love making this cake, it costs a lot of effort and patience but the scent it leaves at home and its adorable appearance are priceless.
To create, cook and compose it you will need the templates to cut out the dough.
You can make the shapes by printing the pdf that I am attaching to you in A4 format and cutting out the figures along the margins.
PROCEDIMENTO:
Occorrerà che dividiate l’impasto in sei parti, da stendere dello spessore di circa 1,5 cm. Dovete fare attenzione a realizzare i sei panetti delle dimensioni sufficienti a realizzare la parte della casetta che desiderate.
Vi consiglio di cominciare dalla facciata e dal retro, conservando gli altri panetti ancora da stendere in frigo, avvolti nella pellicola.
Sarà necessario posizionare la sagoma sull’impasto steso ed utilizzare la rondella tagliapasta per ricavarne la forma.
Poi passate alle parti laterali, procedendo allo stesso modo, ma utilizzando la sagoma rettangolare più grande.
Ricavate le finestrelle dalle sagome utilizzando uno stampino rettangolare.
Con i ritagli dell’impasto potete creare delle decorazioni per arricchire la vostra casetta, io per esempio ho realizzato un piccolo cuore da posizionare sopra la porticina ed una stella da posizionare sul tetto.
A questo punto potete procedere alla cottura.
Una volta cotte e sfornate, fate attenzione a lasciare raffreddare completamente le varie parti della casa, ponendole su una gratella.
A questo punto arriva la parte più bella: la decorazione!
Potete decorare le facciate della casetta come più preferite, utilizzando la ghiaccia reale, che utilizzerete anche come collante per assemblare le varie parti.
Vi consiglio di mettere bottiglie o barattoli in vetro pieni di acqua all’interno della casetta, posizionandoli agli angoli, per impedire un cedimento delle pareti all’interno.
Affinchè la glassa si solidifichi lasciate passere 1/2 ore.
Una volta che si sarà rappresa, potete passare al tetto, seguendo la stessa procedura, io ho utilizzato dei marshmallows al fine di ricreare delle dolcissime tegole per il tetto.
Poi potete rifinire ulteriormente le decorazioni del tetto e della facciata, con ciuffetti di ghiaccia reale, codette di cioccolato colorate o ciliegine candite.
Una volta fatto, inserite nella porta una tea light, che se accesa illuminerà la casetta, donando un dolce profumo di cannella e zenzero a tutto l’ambiente.
PROCEDURE:
You will need to divide the dough into six parts, to be rolled out with a thickness of about 1.5 cm. You must be careful to make the six blocks of sufficient size to make the part of the house you want. I recommend starting from the front and back, keeping the other loaves still to be spread in the fridge, wrapped in plastic wrap.
It will be necessary to place the shape on the spread out dough and use the cutter washer to obtain the shape.
Then move on to the side parts, proceeding the same way, but using the larger rectangular shape. Make the windows from the shapes using a rectangle stencil.
With the scraps of the dough you can create decorations to enrich your house. For example, I made a small heart to be placed above the door and a star to be placed on the roof.
At this point you can proceed to cooking.
Once cooked and taken out of the oven, be careful to let the various parts of the house cool completely, placing them on a wire rack.
Now comes the coolest part: the decoration!
You can decorate the facades of the house as you prefer, using the frosting, which you will also use as a glue to assemble the various parts. I recommend that you place glass bottles or jars full of water inside the house, placing them at the corners, to prevent the walls from collapsing inside. For the glaze to solidify, let it sit for 1/2 hours. Once it has congealed, you can move on to the roof, following the same procedure, I used marshmallows in order to recreate the sweet tiles for the roof.
Then you can further refine the roof and facade decorations, with wisps of frosting, colored chocolate sprinkles or candied cherries.
Once done, insert a tea light in the door, which if turned on will illuminate the house, giving a sweet scent of cinnamon and ginger to the whole room.
L’ultimo, ma non per importanza, suggerimento che voglio darvi oggi riguarda i pacchetti regalo.
So che ogni anno molti di voi, me compresa, partono alla ricerca del modo più originale di incartare i regali natalizi.
The last, but not least, tip I want to give you today concerns gift packages.
I know that every year many of you, myself included, set out in search of the most original way to wrap Christmas gifts.
Per questo voglio mostrarvi come creare una coccarda per abbellire i vostri doni, la cui creazione necessita solo di quattro step!
1) Ritagliate due rettangoli delle dimensioni che desiderate;
2) Ricavare due fisarmoniche da tali rettangoli;
3) Unire le due estremità dei rettangoli, ricreando una coccarda dalla forma rotonda;
4) posizionate la vostra coccarda sul pacco regalo. Se desiderate potete utilizzare delle decorazioni in polistirolo di forma varia, per rendere il tutto ancora più natalizio e pieno di amore!
For this I want to show you how to create a rosette to embellish your gifts, the creation of which only takes four steps!
1) Cut out two rectangles of the size you want;
2) Obtain two accordions from these rectangles;
3) Join the two ends of the rectangles, recreating a round shaped rosette;
4) place your rosette on the gift box. If you wish you can use polystyrene decorations of various shapes, to make everything even more Christmas and full of love! I hope my suggestions were useful and you enjoyed them!
